Alexandra Maria Lara has been a Romanian/German television and film actress for more than a decade. Alexandra is known for the roles she played as a character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Being the sole daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra started her career in showbiz early. She played lead roles in dramas on television as young as 16 years old. In the Oscar nominated film Downfall, her role as the Secretary Traudljunge of Adolf Hitler was also highly praised. Other Oscar nominated films featuring the actress include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra was involved in many notable projects, both nationally and internationally. This includes the British biographical Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time as well as the French historic miniseries Napoleon among others. She also served in the jury panel of the Transylvania International Film Festival, and also at Cannes Film Festival.
